Why did I receive a Text (SMS) Message?
Bovada maintains a high standard of security to safeguard your private information. Certain actions on your account will prompt us to send a text (SMS) message to your registered mobile phone number in order to validate your identity. This can occur when:
- You sign up with us
- You update your Profile
- Requesting a withdrawal of your winnings
- Claiming or redeeming a Bonus
If you choose not to validate your identity, these actions cannot be completed until you do. A reminder and the option to follow through will remain on your Dashboard – just click the profile icon at the top of any page.
When you receive a text message from Bovada, all you need to do is enter the code provided into the field displayed onsite, and then click ‘Verify Now’. If necessary, you’re allotted a maximum of 3 attempts to resend and enter the code correctly. Should your phone number not validate through this process, your action cannot be completed and you’ll need to contact Customer Service for further assistance.
